Regular Meeting Minutes Wednesday 12/4/2009

DKES Conference Room, 6:30 p.m.

Present:  Stephanie Stevens: President

            Julie Bunday:  Vice President

            Jodie Lugar-McManus: Vice President

            Julie Grimes:  Treasurer

            Jen Bever:  Secretary

Absent:  None

Guests:  See attached sign in sheet.

1. Meeting called to order at 6:32 p.m.
2. Motion made by Stephanie and seconded by Julie Grimes to approve the minutes from 11/4/09.  Motion carried.
3. Officer’s Reports
   1. President:  Stephanie thanked everyone for a great year.
   2. Vice President:  none
   3. Treasurer:  See attached balance sheet.
   4. Secretary:  none

4. Principal’s Report:  The elementary Winter Celebration will be held on 12/18 at 1:30.  Literacy training has started for the first grade teachers.  Report cards will go out this Friday.
5. Old Business:
   1. Carnival Committee Update:  Sabrina, Steve, Jody and Tracy are working on the carnival scheduled for January 29^th in the middle school.  See attached.
   2. Watchdogs Update:  Steve is working with Glenn Richardson “Uncle Googie” and Joel Gragorski.  They will keep us informed.
   3. Midland Fundraiser:  The winners were awarded their prizes.  The prizes given were an X Box, Wii, Nintendo DS and I pod shuffle.  The final invoice should be here soon, and the fundraiser will then be wrapped up for this year.
   4. Holiday Shop Update:  Julie said it is going great.  The last day is tomorrow. 

6. New Business:
   1. New Fundraiser Ideas:  A spring flower sale has been approved by central office.  Jodie will check into potential florists to use.  Stephanie said the cookbook is coming along.
   2. December Information Packet:  Stephanie would like to send out a packet from PIE home with the kids.  This will need to be done by Friday.

7. Announcements/Open Forum:  Stephanie proposed a spring fundraiser with Frankenmuth Fundraising Company.  She has info and catalogs.
8. Stephanie motioned and Julie Bunday seconded to adjourn the meeting.  Motion carried.  Meeting adjourned at 7:20.
